Before light even strikes the sensor, there is a moment of anticipation. Standing before the immensity of the sea, I pause to observe not what the water is, but what it is speaking to me in that precise instant. Photographing the sea is never a static act; it is a desperate, yet beautiful attempt to capture a single breath that will never repeat itself in the exact same way.

My artistic intent stems from a desire to dissect the infinite. I ask myself: what mask does the abyss wear today? I seek its fury, because I need to feel my own fragility against the roar of the salt. I seek its stillness, when my inner turmoil begs permission to dissolve into a perfect horizon line. I chase the reflection, because light upon the water is the only tangible proof of how the invisible can manifest into substance. And finally, I lose myself in pure motion, where water ceases to be mere matter and becomes nothing but rhythm, flowing time, abstraction.

I shoot because the sea is the only mirror that never reflects the same image for more than a single second. I shoot to possess, if only for a fleeting moment, a fragment of that eternal change which is, ultimately, the very essence of our lives.

THE SCREAM OF THE SALT
