Towards a neighbourhood that is no more, the eyes of its former inhabitants scan the horizon of the past, reaching out to grasp fragments of memories that slip away like sand through fingers. The streets, now silent, still echo with the light footsteps of children playing in the alleys, the chatter of women sharing news on their doorsteps, and the distant calls of fishermen returning home.

Each face holds an entire world of emotions, shared experiences, and unbreakable bonds with the place they once called home. And though geographical distances have pulled them apart, memories reunite them in an intimate embrace—a silent dialogue that transcends both time and space.

In those faces lies the story of a resilient community that faced adversity with courage and resolve. And while the Rione Terra that is no more lives on only in memory, the faces of its people remain like glowing lighthouses, illuminating the path toward a past that must never be forgotten.
